The Belo Monte Dam – or what would be the world’s third largest hydroelectric dam – is steadily continuing construction in the heart of the Amazon rainforest in Brazil, ignoring the rights of tribal peoples whose native home & life exists on this land and river, and the rights of nature: a fragile eco-system that could be irreversibly destroyed if the dam’s construction continues.
